Sandown Guesthouse has been run by the Eastwood family since 1988 and Mark & Georgeene are the next generation to take over the reins, having lovingly refurbished Sandown to a high standard of comfort, including flat screens TVs, Wi-Fi in all the guests rooms which are all ground floor.

Sandown offers an informal & friendly stay to all guests, you are welcome to come and go as you please and obviously take advantage of our renown locally sourced and award winning breakfast, but all at excellent value for money.

The true jewel in our crown we feel is our location. Situated in Bowness-on-Windermere in the heart of the English Lake District we are only few minutes gentle stroll to Lake Windermere and all that Bowness village has to offer, and for such a central location we also have abundant parking for all our guests within our grounds. If you are a keen cyclist we are able to securely store any bikes over night, please just ask on arrival.
